5 Ways to Keep Your Intentions in Focus All Year

Many people set intentions in January only to see them become a distant by February.
So how do you keep your intentions in focus all year?
Try these 5 strategies to keep your vibes high and your momentum moving forward.

1. Vision Board
Vision board parties are all the rage the month.  But even if you can’t make it to on of these social events, you can easily make a vision board on your own.  Use some of the work you did with last week’s exercise and get clear on what your intentions look like.

Then you can create a visual representation of this with magazines, drawings, or digital pictures. Now here’s they key… post your picture!  Make it your wallpaper on your phone, put it on the fridge, post it where ever you are most likely to see it daily.
2. Mantras

We can sometimes get caught in a negative or disempowering thought cycle. Mantras help to keep your thoughts focused. Using Google, you can easily find a mantra out there today that speaks to you.  Also post this in a place you will see it or put a reminder in your phone to say your mantra.  The key to keep momentum is to stay positive and moving forward when bumps get in the way.

3.  Audiobooks and Podcasts
Fill your head with positivity and motivation by listening to podcast and audiobooks.  This can be an excellent way to learn, be inspired and stay motivated, all while multitasking.  I love to listen during my morning jog.  But they are also great company while cooking dinner, folding laundry, and cleaning house.

4. Find a Tribe
There are many times when we are working on our dreams when we just want to give up, or struggle with feelings of unworthiness.  An accountability partner(s) can hold you to your action plan and help give you a boost when you need it.  Can’t think of a person that can fill this position?  Facebook has many great groups for all interests that provide motivation and inspiration.  It may even serve you to invest in a mentor or coach to help you push past your obstacles.
