It’s Time to Get My Shitake Together
Like everyone else, adjusting to being at home has had its trials and tribulations.
But reality came knocking on my door this morning when the scales tipped over my normal five-pound flux.
Oh, Rona, what have you done to me lately?
While my first reaction was, “screw it, who cares?”
It was followed by a vision of myself coming out of quarantine, so excited to be with friends, having to roll myself out of the door and pry to wine bottle out of my hand.
Now, there has absolutely been some beauty in focusing elsewhere.
With the budget being tight and the stress being high, lower quality food and two buck chuck have somewhat served a purpose.
But as the needle on the scale moves upward, aches and pains in my body intensify, and depression comes in bouts, I can’t deny that it’s time for some self-reflection.
So I figure, I have two options…
One, I can continue to party with Rona with cheap wine, pizza, and oh so much cheese, like a never-ending college party that will leave me with a mountain to climb on the other side of quarantine.
Or, I can shut this party down and start climbing now.
Like right now!
Right now, I can stop this nonsense and return to my tried and true, staple habits that have carried me through some crazy stuff in the past.
With option B, I envision myself coming out of quarantine like a Rockstar making her entrance on the stage all shiny and ready to kick some butt.
Um, yes, option B, please!
Where do I start?
For now, I’m going to do three simple things… track my food, drink less, and add in some strength training.
I know you know that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and I have to know I’m not going to dig myself out of the hole instantly.
Slow and steady, makes me a Rockstar.
I’ll do this for a week or two and then make adjustments as necessary.
Now, I know that the quickest way out of a slump is to be of service to others, so here’s what I’d like to do for you.
I am offering three people, four free coaching sessions to help you come out of quarantine all shiny and ready to rock.
If you’d like to take advantage, please complete this form. It’s first come, first serve so do it now.
Well, sister, I’m dying to know how you are holding up. Please comment below and let me know.
From my heart to yours, I wish you and your family well.
In love and health,
Meghan
